His primary focus is new construction homes. The new construction process is very different from what most real estate agents deal with on a daily basis, so the majority of agents don’t necessarily have time to research the ins-and-outs of every community. It is a common misconception that working directly with the builder’s agent will save you money because it doesn’t; the builders just collect the commission that would have gone to your agent.  Plus, their agents generally work on builder’s behalf and represent their interests. You need an agent who represents you and looks after your best interests. It is important to know that you may lose the opportunity to have your own representative if your first visit to the community is without an agent.
